Status flygsituationen i Europa
Med anledning av vulkanen Grimsvötns utbrott skickar vi
kontinuerliga uppdateringar och viktiga länkar för information om
askmolnets påverkan på flygtrafiken i Europa. Så här långt är
flygtrafiken enbart sporadiskt påverkad. Flygplatser kan öppnas och
stängas med relativt kort varsel i påverkade områden och man får gå
in på enskilda flygningar för att hitta information om en flight
ska operera eller ej.
Sverige och Skandinavien - sporadiskt inställda flygningar främst
till/från Göteborg-Landvetter
Nedan flyg är rapporterade som inställda flyg den 25:e på morgonen
till/från Göteborg-Landvetter. De inställda flygningarna är med
stor sannolikhet beroende på att flygningar till Göteborg på
eftermiddag/kväll den 24:e maj ställdes in på grund av rådande
osäkerhet. Landvetter håller fortsatt öppet och det finns så här
långt inte någon indikation på att flygplatsen ska behöva
stänga.

Generell prognos för morgondagen den 25:e
Brittiska Metoffice och EU-organet Eurocontrol har varslat att
förtunnade askmoln kan fortsätta spridas in över Skandinavien under
onsdagen. Påverkan på flygtrafiken är svår att förutsäga men det
kommer snarast att handla om temporära störningar och kanske
förseningar i flygtrafiken istället för omfattande
restriktioner.
Vi upprepar att alla prognoser är osäkra och situationen kan ändras
snabbt. Nedan har vi sammanställt några länkar där ni kan finna
värdefull information från myndigheter och flygbolag. Vi uppmanar
er att noggrant följa utvecklingen.
Med Eyafjallajökull i färskt minne så vet vi att trycket på våra
telefoner tidvis kan bli högt om situationen skulle förvärras och
vi ber om ert överseende med det. Vi har utarbetade
beredskapsplaner för situationer som denna och är väl
förberedda.

Update on the flight situation in Europe
Due to the Volcanic eruption of Grimsvötn we bring you continuous
updates on the ash-cloud and its impact on the air traffic in
Europe. At this stage we see only a sporadic impact on air traffic
with some regional exempts i.e. in Scotland. Airports can open or
shut down with short notice in affected areas and you are bound to
search on detailed flight level to find out whether it's
operational or not.
Sweden and Scandinavia - sporadically cancelled flights
predominantly to/from Gothenburg-Landvetter
Below flights are reported cancelled in the morning of the 25th
to/from Gothenburg-Landvetter. The cancelled flights are an affect
of the cancellation of flights to Gothenburg at the eve of the 24th
due to the 'at-the-time' insecurity about the ash-cloud impact on
the air traffic in the region. Landvetter Airport remains open and
at this time there are no indications on a shutdown of the
airport.

General forecast for tomorrow the 25th
British Metoffice and EU-authority Eurocontrol declared that low
dense ash cloud is likely to spread over parts of Scandinavia on
Wednesday. The impact on air traffic is difficult to predict but
it's likely that it will be minor disturbances with delayed flights
rather than broad no-fly restrictions.
All forecast's are naturally uncertain and the situation may change
quickly. We have included links above where you can find useful and
updated information from authorities and airlines. Please follow
the development carefully if you are planning to travel in the near
future.
